As long as you have the properly written contract in place and you utilized a construction contract template that shows the original agreement your customer should not have a leg to stand on in a court of law. You should never do anything without a properly singed written contract that has been executed between two parties, preferably you and your customer.

Construction Contract Template Can Legally Protect You

A legal binding agreement is when you have a contract of any kind signed by two people. This is considered a legally binding document or agreement between both parties and is expected to cover every aspect of the work or services that are to be performed. The construction contract template you decide to use should be written in such a way that nothing is left to chance. The construction contract template should include information like the name and address of both you and your customer and should also cover information such as the planned start date for the project and the estimated end date.

The construction contract template should also list exactly what the customer has stated that they want done, right down to the smallest detail and exactly what you intend to do and what you intend not to deliver as a service.
